PM SHRI SSSS HDP GIC Thal follows the syllabus prescribed by the Uttarakhand Board of School Education. The medium of instruction is English and Hindi. English is taught as a compulsory subject up to Class X.
At the Senior Secondary level (Classes XI and XII), students are offered the following streams:

Science Group:- English, Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics / Biology, Hindi, Computer Science

Arts Group:- English, Hindi, History, Geography, Political Science, Economics, Sociology

The whole academic session is divided into two terms. The duration of Term I is from April to September, while Term II extends from October to March. Regular assessments, practical work, assignments, and examinations are conducted throughout the session to monitor students’ academic progress and overall development.
